Welcome to Joint Base Langley-Eustis! Your New Duty Station Guide

Welcome to Joint Base Langley-Eustis, home of the F-22 Raptor and the Army Transportation Corps. Joint Base Langley-Eustis supports one of the largest military communities on the east coast and is one of the most strategically unique installations in the United States military. What sets JBLE apart from other joint bases is its geography. The Langley side is located in the eastern part of the Virginia Peninsula in Hampton and is home to Air Combat Command and the 1st Fighter Wing. The Eustis side sits on the western shore in Newport News and is home to the 7th Transportation Brigade and the 128th Aviation Brigade. 17 miles apart, two distinct missions, one installation. Airmen reporting to Langley should enter through the LaSalle gate and proceed directly to their gaining command. Soldiers reporting to Eustis will enter through Fort Eustis Gate 1 and check in with their new unit. Civilian visitors will need to register for an access pass at the visitor control centers located just outside each side's main gate. Both sides of the base have everything you need to get settled. Military housing offices, commissaries, and exchanges. Both also have golf courses, bowling alleys, and outdoor recreation facilities to make the most of your off-duty time. Off base, Hampton Roads delivers. Spend a weekend at Virginia Beach, explore the history of Colonial Williamsburg, catch a game in Norfolk, or discover the waterfront restaurants of Downtown Hampton and Newport News. With the Chesapeake Bay to the north and the Atlantic to the east, there's so much to explore.
